Unfortunately, that time has passed - all Gmail users now must use the updated version of the email platform. For Gmail, that was once an option: by navigating to and clicking the Settings gear on the right-hand side of Gmail, users used to be able to hit a button that would revert them back to the “classic” Gmail option. Companies may let you ease into major design changes, giving you the ability to switch back and forth between old and new. With websites we use every day, like Gmail, Twitter, and Facebook, even the slightest change can feel jarring. People are always hesitant to accept change, especially with our technology. But here’s the thing: not everyone loves it. The design is all a little more bold and modern, with new icons and tabs. Gone is the red, rectangular Compose button, for instance - it’s since been replaced with a white button with rounded edges. L ast year, Google began rolling out a major update for Gmail with lots of changes.
